Öninge campground is a vacation oasis in the community of Ödeshög. Approximately 2,5 hours from Stockholm, Gothenburg and only 7 minutes from E4. Öninge is situated on Lake Vättern, the second largest lake in Sweden. One of the most beautiful places in Sweden. Located in the countryside, rich in history and culture. Öninge is a small non-affiliated campground (no membership required) that has received awards for their handicap friendly environment. It was created by Jessica and Niklas Svensson in 2007.  

People come here from all over the world to go fishing and dive in the crystal clear waters of Lake Vättern. Bordering Öninge is one of Sweden's best golfcourses designed by Pierre Fulke and Bengt Lorichs. If that's not what you are looking for then there are plenty of hiking trails around Omberg, the mountain of myths and legends. For those enjoying birdwatching, "Tåkern"  is a birders paradise. Surrounded by natural wetlands attracting birds from all over the world. The entire area can be visited either by foot or bike. After a long day out and about, just relaxing next to the Olympic sized swimming pool may be appealing. Öninge welcomes all.

We have 156 campsites for tents and trailers and 10 cabins. 6 of the cabins including private bathrooms. All sites are equipped with private electric power meters, water and sewer systems.
